The significance of the wheel.
At Wellogin, we are fond of wheels. In particular, the dharma wheel and its eight spokes representing the principles of the eight fold path:
right view
right intention
right speech
right action
right livelihood
right effort
right mindfulness
right concentration
We are also particularly fond of bicycles. For us, riding a bike, with its rhythmic cadence of pedaling and breath becomes a moving meditation, transforming ordinary motion into a practice of mindfulness as we glide efficiently through space and time.
Unlike sitting meditation or sitting in a car, bike riding immerses the rider in a changing ambience of terrain, sound, temperature, and light, which creates authentic sensations of independence and impermanence.
“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
— Albert Einstein
